Damn you Damon Albarn...

You are destroying my music listening enjoyment. Ever since I’ve stumbled upon the new Gorillaz album streaming on NPR everything else has been bland, tasteless and just fucking boring.

Cut Copy: nope

Daft Punk: nope

I’ve even tried to mix it up; Fanfarlo, Edward Sharpe, Eddie Bo, Funkadelic, Bat for Lashes, Wilco: nope

The only things to come close to the texture of “Plastic Beach” is Yeasayer (All Hour Cymbols) and Yeah Yeah Yeahs (It’s Blitz!). They are the only reason I haven’t already listened to your new stuff 10 times in two days.

Anyway…damn you for destroying what is normally a full day of enjoying music. Hopefully this is just temporary.

Lastly, thank you for putting out music that continues to raise the bar. I don’t say this for most albums, but I will be putting money towards this one.
